This roadster is part of the Royal Enfield lineup, based on the new J-platform. As the most budget-friendly Royal Enfield motorcycle in India, the Hunter 350 is aimed at younger, first-time riders, including women.
In terms of design, the Hunter 350 boasts a neo-retro roadster look, which is similar to the Triumph Street Twin. It features minimalist styling, including a circular halogen headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a single-piece saddle, and a short rear fender.
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is available in two body styles – retro and metro. The retro variant comes in two colours: Factory Black and Factory Silver. Meanwhile, the metro variant is divided into two sub-variants – Dapper and Rebel, which are offered in five and three colour options, respectively.
Under the hood, the Hunter 350 is powered by a 349.34cc, single-cylinder J-series engine that delivers 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed transmission. The Hunter 350 can achieve a top speed of approximately 130 km/h. It competes with rivals like the Honda CB350RS, Jawa 42, and TVS Ronin.
In terms of components, the retro version features wire-spoke wheels, a disc-and-drum brake combination at the front and rear, and single-channel ABS. The metro variant, in contrast, is equipped with alloy wheels, disc brakes at both ends, and dual-channel ABS. The retro model weighs 177kg, while the metro variant is slightly heavier at 181kg. The bike’s suspension comprises telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear.
