The Yamaha MT 15 V2 begins at an on-road price of ₹2,07,393 for the MT 15 V2 Standard variant. The cost for the other variants – MT 15 V2 Deluxe and MT 15 V2 MotoGP Edition – is ₹2,10,548 and ₹2,11,212, respectively. These prices represent the on-road rates in Delhi.

The Yamaha MT 15 V2 is an efficient motorcycle available in three variants and eight colour choices. It is powered by a 155cc BS6-compliant engine that produces 18.1 horsepower and 14.1 Nm of torque. Equipped with disc brakes at both the front and rear, the MT 15 V2 features an anti-lock braking system (ABS). The motorcycle weighs 141 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 10 litres.

The 2024 Yamaha MT 15 Version 2.0 is the naked version of the popular R15 super-sport bike. While it shares the same engine and frame as the R15, the gearing of the MT 15 V2 has been altered to offer better acceleration, though this reduces its top speed.

Powering the MT 15 V2 is a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC engine with four valves and a Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system. It delivers a maximum power of 18.1bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.1Nm at 7,500rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. Known for its smoothness, performance, and fuel efficiency, the engine provides a balanced riding experience.

The MT 15 V2 is built on a delta box frame, supported by a 37mm upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock rear suspension. The braking system consists of a 282mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc, along with a dual-channel ABS and traction control system for added safety. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with 100/80-section tyres at the front and 140/70-section tyres at the rear, both from MRF. The bike has a kerb weight of 141kg and a 10-litre fuel tank.

Yamaha has equipped the MT 15 V2 with a host of advanced features, including full LED lighting and an LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity.

The Bluetooth module works in conjunction with a dedicated smartphone app, which provides access to features like incoming call alerts, SMS and email notifications, and phone battery status on the LCD console. Additionally, the app tracks fuel efficiency, offers maintenance alerts, stores the last parked location, and notifies the rider of any malfunctions.

While the design of the Yamaha MT 15 has remained consistent, it still maintains a striking appearance, especially with its range of colour options. There are eight colour choices available, including Cyan Storm DLX, Dark Metallic Blue, Metallic Black, Cyber Green DLX, Ice Fluo-Vermillion DLX, Racing Blue DLX, Metallic Black DLX, and the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team livery.
